Our integrative approach combines different forms of couples therapy to create a custom made treatment plan for you and your partner. Each program is based on your unique relationship needs.
The core methods we use are Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Both are widely studied, evidence-based forms of couples therapy. They are also extremely compatible and can be easily combined. When warranted, we also use methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Treatment begins with a thorough assessment. We use the online Gottman Relationship Checkup. It is research based and therefore provides us with the information we need to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
After the assessment phase, you will dive deep into the therapy process. Having clear and concrete goals, you will learn how to work as a team and move towards making positive changes in your relationship.
